We’ve presented ourselves with the red and blue pills many times over the last number of years.

The blue pill sees us continuing where we are in this industry. Toiling away on someone else’s dime, trying to make their vision become clear. The end. It’s an ending.

The red pill takes us elsewhere. It’s kind of unknown and a lot more scary but it is ours.

That blue pill is so much easier. You wake up, you do what you do and that’s it. You don’t have to look for investors, property, equipment and staff. You just do your job and go home.

The other one means you have to find people with money that are willing to trust you. Like, really trust you. You know this business, not them, and they need to respect that and let you, as the professional, do the deed. You need to go look at a bunch of overpriced properties and try to envision if it’s even part of your vision. Then there is the expensive equipment and staffing and bills and payroll and bills and every other thing. But it’s ours.

This is the point where we are at. Morpheus is nowhere in site but his words become louder by the day. These options won’t last long and it’s time to choose. Do we stay in Wonderland and see how deep this rabbit hole goes?
